If I were to ask you what the word “energy” means to you what would be your first thought? Would you think of oil and gas? Initially that is what I would think of although today I would probably think about hydrogen bombs after hearing the news that North Korea detonated a hydrogen bomb last night.
We cannot see energy and do not necessarily spend much time thinking about it, but perhaps we ought to consider what that word means to us at all levels. We need energy to run the world and global economies are divided between the have and have nots but there is much more to this situation than meets the eye.
When I am talking about energy I do not only mean fossil fuels, atomic, wind or solar. I am also talking about the energy which is fundamental to the survival of the human mind, body and spirit.
We are composed of 37 trillion single cells living in a community in our bodies. These cells need fuel in order to maintain their energy. From that perspective, one could imagine I am talking about food. We need food to feed the physical body but what about the mental or spiritual body? Food allows the physical body to perform and learning allows the mental body to perform. What allows the spiritual body to grow and develop? The spiritual body grows through stillness. When the heart, mind and body reach a moment of union the spiritual body begins to grow.
We are hardwired through programming from a young age. This programming does not allow us to create a life of our own making unless we consciously examine it. Most people are not interested in any of what I have to say but that is why we are where we are. We take things for granted and do not want to examine the whys and wherefores because it takes effort. It takes work to consciously change our unconscious beliefs. First we have to want to make a difference and second we must find the way forward.
It feels impossible but each small step is a step in the right direction. I can vouch for that. I have given myself the time and space to ask those questions and reflect on the answers. I sit in stillness and enjoy the feeling of balance and harmony.
I like communicating my thoughts on paper as it is my small gesture and perhaps someone will read this and it will make a difference. On that note I would like to ask you the following questions:
Which direction are you heading in? It is your choice but make it a conscious one.
What kind of energies are you using on that journey? I am talking about at all levels. Are you giving yourself the right sort of sustenance to create harmony between your heart, mind and body?
Is the energy you are using sustainable? Does it work towards a greater harmony? Are you taking the time to sit in stillness and press reset on your unconscious beliefs?
I hope this short blog motivates you to consider these questions. We must make a conscious effort to think about the sources which feed our heart, mind, and body. Our survival depends upon it.
