If I were to ask you what the word “energy” means to you what would be your first thought. Mine is oil, but after todays news perhaps it should be hydrogen.
We cannot see energy and do not necessarily spend much time thinking about it, but perhaps we ought to consider what that word means to us at all levels.
We need energy to run the world and global economies are divided between the have and have nots but there is much more to this situation than meets the eye.
When I am talking about energy I do not only mean fossil fuels, atomic, wind or solar. I am also talking about the energy which is fundamental to the survival of the human mind, body and spirit.
We are composed of 50 trillion single cells living in a community and these cells need feeding in order to maintain their energy. From that perspective, one could imagine I am talking about food.
We know we need food to feed the physical body but what about the mental or spiritual body? Food allows the physical body to perform. Learning allows the mental body to perform. What allows the spiritual body to grow and develop?
The spiritual body grows through stillness. When the heart and mind and body reach a moment of union the spiritual body begins to grow.
We are hardwired through programming from a young age. This programming does not allow us to create a life of our own making unless we consciously examine it.
Most people are not interested in any of what I have to say but that is why we are where we are.
It feels impossible, but each small step is a step in the right direction. That is why I have put pen to paper. I wonder how many people will actually read this blog and seriously consider what I have to say.
My questions to you are:
Which direction are you heading in? It is your choice but make it a conscious one.
What kind of energies are you using on that journey? Are they sustainable? Do they work towards a greater harmony?
I hope this short blog motivates you to consider these questions. We must make a conscious effort to think about the sources which feed our mind, body and spirit. Our survival depends upon it.
